The Approach

Synchronization is not a meeting.
Synchronization is the product.

Dmitri Sapoznikov
Dmitri Sapoznikov
Director of Operations

Every organization that struggles under pressure struggles the same way. Six parties each hold a piece of the mission, each runs a separate timeline, and nobody owns the seam. The status call gets longer. The decision gets later. The cost of the delay lands somewhere downstream, usually on the people with the least room to absorb it.

My work is the seam. Converting requirements into decision-ready products, holding multi-party efforts to one synchronized timeline, and giving the commander a picture accurate enough to act on today rather than complete enough to admire tomorrow. That discipline came from the Joint Operations Center, and it moves cleanly into any operation where the deadline does not negotiate.

Signature Method

The synchronization board: many parties, one timeline.

Six independent efforts, five phases, one commander's intent. Select a lane to see how each one was held.

The Customer Measure

Scored 98.9% on CPARS, the rating the customer actually uses.

Supporting United States Special Operations Command as a senior planner on sensitive activities. Converting operational requirements into planning products that senior leaders use for design and risk decisions, then aligning multi-party DoD and interagency efforts to one synchronized timeline against commander's intent. CPARS is where that work gets graded, and the rating across program deliverables came back at 98.9%.

Two Tracks

Government operations on one side. Built businesses on the other.

The defense career runs continuously from 2002. Alongside it sit three ventures built and run from the ground up, which is where the cost discipline and vendor scar tissue come from.

Track One

Defense and national security

Twenty-plus years across SOF planning, joint operations, interagency analysis, and coalition programs. Continuous accountability for people and equipment under conditions where a missed detail carries real consequence.

  • Continuous accountability for a 12- to 22-person team and $1M to $5M in mission-essential equipment
  • Directed six teams running regional operations across six Arabian Peninsula countries, 2014 to 2015
  • Led 25+ personnel producing intelligence and atmospheric reporting in a deployed combat environment
  • Coordinated end-to-end review of the Annual Report to the President and Congress as RFPB Operations NCO
Track Two

Founder and operator

Three ventures where the numbers were mine to make. Procurement, estimating, scheduling, hiring, and cost control all ran without a staff section to hand them to.

  • Special Construction Forces: built from zero to $250K revenue in two years across a 120-vendor network
  • Zactler, Inc.: founded a construction-services procurement software venture and own the product roadmap and AI-enabled workflows
  • Built and directed a 17-person Zactler team including a CTO across product, engineering, and finance, hiring four executives
  • KDSInvest, LLC: advising a $2.3M real estate and equities portfolio, cutting operating costs by $15K to $20K per year
